Venkanna Babu Temple

The temple of Lord Venkateswara of Yanam is well known as Meesala Venkanna Temple, Chaldikudu Venkanna Temple and Venkanna Babu Temple. The temple was fond of hosting child marriages earlier which was stopped by the introduction of Sarada Act due to agitations initiated by Shri Raja Rama Mohan Roy. This is the only temple having the idol of Lord Venkanna with big moustaches. The temple was constructed by former kings of Rajahmundry in the late 15^th century.
