The Penchalakona village is famous for the temple of Sri Penusila Narasimha Swamy. This village is located in Rapur Mandal of Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh. Devotees gather in huge numbers during the annual festival that takes place in this temple during the month of April/May to celebrate the Narasimhaswamy Jayanthi with devotion. The river Kandleru originates from the Penchalakona waterfalls deep inside the forests and then merges in the Bay of Bengal near Krishnapatnam in Nellore- District.
