Mookambika temple is open from 05.00 am to 0830 pm. In the south of this temple there is a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh. The idol of Ganesh has 10 hands and 10 faces. The trunk of Ganesh is generally on the left side, but in this temple it is on the right side. A Saraswati temple is also located in the temple premises. The idol of Mookambika is placed in the Saraswati mantapam where many people come for the Aksharabhyaasam of their children.
Kollur also has a relationship with Lord Anjaneya. While he was carrying the Sanjivini Mountain, a part of it fell on the Kodachadri Mountain and so many medicinal plants are available here. Renowned for its beauty and tranquility, visiting this place is a memorable experience. Temple authorities have built rest room with modern facilities to provide accommodation to the devotees. Mookambika temple received a large number of devotees during the 9 day festival in September – October and during the rathyatra in March- April.
